Leopard Trend: Summer Sandals

I ‘ve seen so much leopard this year, I don’t even remember what other prints look like. It’s funny because, I swear a couple years ago I was trying to steer my grandma away from the cheetah/leopard clothing rack. It used to have the reputation of an “old lady print” (as I would tell her) but it’s the most popular trend right now. So I’m totally a hypocrite and going back on my word because I’m obsessed. Sorry Mimi!

If you’re on social media, it’s a good chance you can’t scroll without seeing a look styled with the print. Just from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, leopard is a repeated print in almost every designer. Beyond just clothing or shoes but also handbags, jewelry, hats, scarves, even home decor! Not to mention, they were the first pieces to sell out within minutes. So going off that I’m guessing leopard is going to be a huge trend for the upcoming seasons and not going anywhere soon.

I’m giddy each time I add another piece of to my growing collection of leopard clothing and shoes. Right now they have their own shelf in my closet, doubling as decor with a few of my favorite coffee table fashion books. I pulled out my summer sandals that I’ve been wearing on repeat! People stop me all the time to compliment or ask where I purchased them from! There’s something about the print that’s a conversation starter? I swear people b-line to compliment some leopard print.

I have a bit of range in styles because I like the options and ability to pair it for any kind of occasion. Date night? Block heels. Cute brunch? Platforms. Everyday errands? Slip ons. Cute casual? Flats. You can spice up any outfit with all of these pairs. It’s perfect for breaking up a monochromatic outfit, a pop of print to contrast any solids, or add some ~flavor~ to a jeans and T-shirt fit. It goes with everything!
