My name is Ashley Larea [Laaaa-Ree] and I am the woman behind the screen of this blog. I’m so happy you have found yourself here on my corner of the internet and hope you can feel inspired, related to, and encouraged to exist loudly in your life.
I’m born and raised in Dallas, Texas but people would usually describe me as a born city girl with a sprinkle of southern. I went to Texas Christian University before I transferred to my dream school, Parsons New School for Design in New York City. There I studied Journalism + Design with a focus on fashion. Currently, I am back in Texas butt spend most of my time traveling!
When creating my blog and wanting to narrow down exactly what I wanted to put out into the world, I already had fashion as my creative outlet and what I could talk about all day. That to me was my second language! But I knew I had to dig deeper because what I wanted to share with the world is what I so badly wish I had read when I felt alone or struggling. I remember constantly thinking that everyone had some secret to life they weren’t telling me. I’ve always kind of lived off the tracks, ending up on hardest possible path with countless wrong turns. It hasn’t been easy, to say the least, but that’s what motivates me to spread my experiences and inner dialogue in a way that is transparent and can relate to those who feel they can relate to no one.
Here you will find fashion, lifestyle, beauty, travel, and transparency to the not so picture perfect parts of life. I’m human. I have my loves and hobbies but nothing erases reality. You may read blogs to escape from the struggles of everyday, to inspire you what you want to be or look like, how to decorate your house to match your style, but I want to be all of that and your friend.
I may always live my life off the tracks, but let’s be honest… do any big dreams come true if you stay on the tracks?
